Some of the comments:

  1. A channel to run your hdmi, speaker wires or coax cable down to the other plugs for them. Keeps the wall free of wires.
  2. There should be another one of those nose plates closer to the floor directly below.
  3. I have that exact one in my house. Its a kit I got off Amazon, works great to keep all my wires hidden for my mounted tv.
  4. Time to re-arrange the room, right?

I don’t know what your current setup looks like, but I bet it would be a pain/eyesore to run a long cable around the room versus move furniture to accommodate the infrastructure of the house?

glad to see people were able to help you identify the item.

I’m learning things everyday from this sub.

  5. New to me too. I thought it was a beer cap disposal slot
  6. One of these is often found behind a wall-mounted TV. The outlet is recessed so there’s room for the power cord to plug in without sticking out. The hole is just a hole that you can drop any cables into (mainly just HDMI these days). Down by the floor there’s usually another hole with a matching cover to fish them out and connect to your cable box or whatever. This way you get a clean installation with no visible cables running to your TV.
  7. These are made to put behind a wall mounted TV. The plug is recessed so that the TV can be plugged in and mounted as close to the wall as possible. The hole on the right is for running any a/v cables through the wall that you need for a/v equipment.
  8. There will generally be a corresponding opening under it, near the floor. It’s for a flush mounted TV, the HDMI and AV cables run through that channel and out the bottom to plug into your cable box/game system/dvd player/etc. It’s to hide the cables and looks nicer.
  9. Beer opener. Use it to pop your caps and then they are disposed off in the collector.
  10. That outlet is making a mean face
  11. I don’t know, but that outlet does not look happy about it.
  12. There should be another one right below it facing the other way. That way you can run cable behind the wall.
  13. Cable management for mounted TV. TV gets plugged into the outlet, and your other cables should go in the hole down to your dvd player, console, etc.
  14. You should be careful though. That plug looks pissed!
  15. Tip jar for the electricity fairies
  16. It’s route cables through the wall for your tv
  17. A urinal.
  18. It’s a port to route cable behind a wall
  19. It may be a cable chase.
  20. Cable channel. Tube inside of the wall to put consoles and things on the ground to connect to the TV to be mounted on the wall.
