The crime was never fully resolved, and the house became marked by this event.

Today, the Castelinho da Rua Apa is a historical and cultural heritage site of the city of São Paulo, and although it has gone through periods of neglect, it has been restored and preserved over the years. The location has served as the headquarters of the Municipal Secretary of Culture and hosts exhibitions, cultural events, and guided tours, allowing people to learn about its history and peculiar architecture.
