Abandoned Historic Home in Arkansas Looks Hauntingly Beautiful

When traveling through Arkansas I am always amazed at how many historical homes are just left abandoned. Such is the case of an unknown location of what was once a beautiful old historic home of a prominent town doctor that still looks somewhat hauntingly beautiful.

Urban Exploring with Kappy from YouTube did a walk-through of this home and according to what he found out the house was built in 1903, then in 1917, a large second-story porch was added to the Colonial Revival structure and was on the National Register of historic places in the 80s and 90s but unfortunately, the property has been vacant for over 20 years.
The front entrance of the home looks like something you would see in a horror movie. No, that’s not blood at the end of the staircase looks more like pink paint someone used in painting a room.

This house has several fireplaces but it’s so sad that the mantle has been ripped off from the main living room. If only walls could talk, the stories you would hear.

Can you imagine all the cooking that once went on here? Not much left. Here’s a view from one of the rooms.

Notice the big hole in the outdoor porch. It’s strange how when property has been left for a long time, nature seems to take it back. Think about what it would feel like to sip on some iced cold sweet tea sitting on a rocker on the porch on a hot summer day in the south. It’s just sad to me to see such a beautiful place go to waste. Besides, age it looks as though vandals have destroyed much of the property but you can tell with a little TLC this home could be brought back to life to its original glory and splendor.
